Against the Rising Sun

Do not close your eyes just now; wait a little longer. Let us sit here in the fleeing dark. Go on, rekindle the candle's wick. Spill your ink and thoughts across the empty lines. Vanquish the terrors within the sea of white.

Do not look at the face of time, that frightful face, those terrible hands, the thousands of ticks and tocks and chimes that speak only of lies. Your dreams must not end so fast; battle the vicious fight and rebel against the rising sun. You've almost won.
